Since grits are absorbent, you don't want to put them down when the ground is wet, so remember to only use this technique on clear sunny days when rain is not expected. - Pickup the following items: boric acid, cotton balls, sugar, a 2 cup jar and a plastic package with a lid. In the jar, dissolve 1 teaspoon boric acid and 6 tablespoons of sugar into 2 cups hot water.

- If you live near water, do not feed instant grits to ducks, because it can cause death. When the grits swell, they produce gas; something ducks and geese are unable to expel!
